A video worth watching.

I’m still going through my writing for this week, pondering what exactly I should put down, but in the meantime…

This video is a talk from Frank Chimero given at the Build Conference in Belfast a little over a year ago. He is a designer and illustrator and some of the points he raises in this are excellent.

It’s not entirely within our sphere of interest, but it is well worth watching. He even shows how the best definition of design may come from Aristotle.

Publishers preventing libraries from buying new ebooks

Following the post on mobile devices, I saw this on the twitter feed of SLAIS at the University of British Columbia.

It’s something I’ve heard mentioned before, but the first time I’ve seen anything of note.
